Aims: The conference will discuss issues concerning stability, security and cooperation in the Black Sea region, considered politically, economic and military, given the strategic importance of the area and the fact  that regional dynamics is heavily influenced by mutations appeared during the last few years in Europe, Middle East and Asia.

 KEYNOTE  SPEAKERS

Philip J. (P.J.) Crowley is a Professor of Practice and Distinguished Fellow at the Institute for Public Diplomacy and Global Communication at The George Washington University, where he currently teaches courses on public diplomacy and crisis communications He served as the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs and Spokesman for the U.S. Department of State.

Phillip Seib is a Professor of Journalism and Public Diplomacy and Professor of International Relations at South California University Seib's research interests include the effects of news coverage on foreign policy, particularly conflict and terrorism issues. Seib is also the editor of the Palgrave Macmillan Series in International Political Communication, co-editor of the Palgrave Macmillan Series in Global Public Diplomacy and co-editor of the journal Media, War and Conflict, published by Sage.

Cristian Diaconescu is a Romanian diplomat, Ambassador ranked, who had didactic and scientific activities as a founding member at the National Defense College Foundation, scientific secretary of the Association of International Law and International Relations, professor at the National Defense College and Institute of law and international relations, where he held classes on European and Euro-Atlantic security and cooperation.

Dan Dungaciu is a Romanian sociologist and geopolitical analyst, director of the Institute of political sciences and international relations of the Romanian Academy, president of the Black Sea foundation from Romania, former Secretary of state in the Ministry of foreign affairs.

Iulian Fota is the director of the National Intelligence College of the ”Mihai Viteazul” National Intelligence Academy and  the former  National Security Adviser to the President of Romania. He previously held the positions of Head of the Defence Section of the Mission of Romania to NATO  and  Director of the National Defence College of Romania. Fota holds a PhD in Political Sciences achieved at the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest.
